I live in Tampa. I love our white sand beaches and it looks more 'tropical' on this side as we seem to have more palm trees and tropical flowers. However, when I've been on the East coast of Florida it seems more comfortable. Is it just my timing, or does the Atlantic side feel less hot/humid because of the ocean breeze?
Just curious if anyone has any stats on this (temp stats don't work since we're talking the subjective feel of the climate due to breeze more than temp/relative humidity).
Anyone? Anyone?...Bueller?...Bueller?...

You are correct, the east coast has more air flow. But be sure to go below Orlando. As you get from the Space Coast on down to Ft. Lauderdale, there is decent air flow when you are close to the ocean. The Jupiter area is another decent spot. It is sandwiched between Lake Okee and the ocean, so the air movement is better there than in Tampa.

It's funny... I think that Miami feels much more humid than Sarasota County. I think we get a decent seabreeze here on the west coast. Maybe it just depends on exactly where you are.

I have lived in Satellite Beach (east), Homestead (south) and Navarre (west). For some reason the west does provide a bit more variety or diversity of weather. Maybe our location with woods in the back, water view on the right side makes it unique and very comfortable....10 years later I still enjoy the weather in this area. Tonight 30's, weekend in the 60's perfect....

I have lived in Clearwater for five years and now the east coast for ten years...The Atlantic side is by far more comfortable weather; especially in the summer. It is due to the tradewinds which extend from approx. Vero Beach down to Ft. Lauderdale area. It keeps our summer temps down and provides year round breezes. I remember the summer days in Clearwater....almost unbearable from late May-late September.
