yes, there are gators here in Ocala! We had one in our pond, had to have Fish and Wildlife come get him.....

ive been looking at the lakeland area it seems pretty nice, think ill look for a place around here thanks for all the help!!!!
i guess ill have to learn about alligators so i dont end up stumbling into one

Hello,
I live in Webster, Fl.It's a real nice and very rural country area...one of the few left in florida. If your looking for rural but work...we have a walmart distribution center right up the road and there is A LOT of trucking there. The neat thing about this area is you can be in two major cities in a little over an hour..Tampa and Orlando. Hope this helps.
