Post Gov Chris saving Baseball?

The annual governor's dinner celebrating the start of spring training is back on... Baseball bring $450 million to our economy, very hard to replace....

This is happening because the The Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Indians are leaving Florida's Grapefruit League for Arizona next year and the Reds are doing the same next year...

Should we save Florida baseball?

Yes, I spent many years coming to the games and allot of money doing it.

Florida will lose something very special if they allow this to happen.

I won't travel to Arizona to the games. I have too many good memories of traveling around Florida to the games and saw all the old stadiums before they tore many of them down.

This will hurt Florida I think. I know how much I spent on 2 weeks following the Reds around Florida and know many people who spent a ton more than I did.

It looks like the Reds will probably be staying put, since Sarasota's city council(or whatever they're called) and hoteliers/restaurant owners/etc recognized the importance of their 2 months presence and are leaning towards finanacing a new stadium.

Actually it's very surprising that Vero Beach let the Dodgers go so easily. Thinking of that area, one would guess that they would be much more important for a place like that than say the Reds for Sarasota.
