Used to live in DC area. Wanted to move to FL to get away from cold winters and the rat race. Had to detour to Dallas for 14 yrs to build up my career but finally made it to Tampa 5 yrs ago. Glad I lived in Dallas before coming here tho, made the heat here in FL feels like nothing.

My spouse also hits FRA the same time my son graduates so that works out! LOLOL

Maybe someday we can all meet!
I saw on another one of your posts in Wisconsin that you won't be moving for another 5 years.
I hope you're making the most of it while you're still up there.
(So many people put their lives on hold waiting to move - life's too short.)

Chicago?

We finally built a house and I don't plan on every moving again. I loved living in Philly but really I have never liked winter... anywhere. I am really looking forward to the summer this year since we finally have our own pool.

We did get in it twice since moving in but had to heat it in order to do so. We have had a cold spell and there is no way we are paying to heat the thing. So I will wait sorta patiently until the temps rise again.

Nice to see a new thread from you, Cindy!!
HI Robino1!! Nice to know your around still girl!
I do remember that you came to Florida because of hubby's Mom. So how is life on the Atlantic side? LOL
We are still planning and praying we stay healthy enough to move to Florida in about another 15 months or so....unless something happens that either delays that or speeds the move up!
I am still also reading stuff on here
Figured it was about time to post a question that I was curious about.
Stay in touch and be safe

So how are you liking Port Charlotte? So, I take it you rent now or did you downsize to smaller house?

That's right....we thought it was going to be 5 years but spouse is turning 65 in May and get awful tired of working.......by the time May 2018 hits--spouse will be 66 and FRA and 45 years at that company. Enough is enough and life Really is TOO SHORT. So, we will enjoy everyday on this earth for sure but we have to plan for the escape out of the Frozen Tundra as soon as we can. LOLOLOL

We haven't moved to FL YET. But we will once we sell the house up here in NY . Hubby is retired (at 53) and we find living on his fixed income tough and the taxes are outrageous!
