I am looking for A+ school Elementary to High School, safe, family friendly, senior friendly town with in a 45 mile radius of the Orlando Airport. Any suggestions?

Rockledge has mostly good areas. Anything close to Cocoa IS Ghetto... STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING NEAR COCOA, and Rockledge borders it... Viera is pretty nice, you may pay more, but it's nice. I lived in Rockledge off US1, and I liked it a lot there.

I use the word ghetto as a lack of better terms. When I see homes on the internet for sale that are pink, blue, no grass, & old cars from the 80's in the driveway. Then I would consider this ghetto. Please take no offence. I know not everyone can afford more and they are fortunate to have what they have, but I do not care to live in this type of neighborhood.

How far is Cocoa Beach from Viera?

As I was going to email you I thought of a thread that I will post, so I can get more opinions.
Thanks

This area is wonderful. It's a nice little town, it's not busy like Orlando. The people are really nice and friendly. There's not a lot of tourism. The beach is nice, and the temperature is pleasant during the summer. When I was there, the weather was beautiful though out the day and it seemed to rain late in the afternoons.

Viera is absolutely the BEST area to live! Rockledge is ok, too. I would NOT live in Palm Bay or Cocoa, personally, due to higher crime rates. My husband and i just relocated to the Viera area and LOVE IT!

Sebastion, Florida just to the South of Melbourne was worth a look before we our last choice of where to live. It may suit your needs. I have lived half my life in the NE and the other half in Florida on both the East & West coasts.
