Nancy and cil
the gardening is great here. I have lemon, 3 kind of orange and a grapefruit tree in my gardens, I also have a "berry" patch with blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and kiwi. I also have herbs(orgeano, basil, thyme and rosemary) living at the beach is a little different due to the salt air, but again being at the beach you will avoid 99 % of the freezes we get maybe 3 times a year. here is the photobucket with some pictures that I took this summer of my gardens.

right now I am in the process of figuring out which plants I can take to Atlanta.

Oh, lets not forget there's no snow days- there are "hurricane" days. Nice. sob. I dont want to move. I was kind of thinking it was going to be a fun adventure. Till I got to this board.
Furthermore, I have 3 kids who dont want to move either and I must find a competition cheerleading team for my 12 year old daughter (who lives for cheerelading- not Pop Warner- REAL cheerleading (her words, not mine- the child has been on a very high level competition team and practices 3-4 days a week 3 hours a day- really, its her life) and an Ice Hockey team for my 10 year old son (who lives for ice hockey). Their worlds will truly fall apart- Im ripping them from thier homes, their friends, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle, Aunt, cousins, all they've ever known and I MUST find them hockey and cheering. HELP!!!!!!!! Ice hockey in Florida. Yeah, thats going to happen.
Ive figured out that we're going to have to find a house south east of Jacksonville- Im pushing for the Ponte Vedra area- even if we have to live on peanut butter and sleep on the floor- This forum convinced me of that. Anyone have anything good to say about the area in addition to helping me find my kids sports? Oh, besides the overcrowded schools? It cant be THAT bad, can it?
thanks! Nancy
