Question Taxes in the Panhandle??

I am considering moving to the Pensacola area with my job in the next year or so. Would I be better off to live across the Alabama border or in the Pensacola area itself?

Default Balsdwin County is Booming

Yes it would be better because taxes are half the cost and the area is growing and beautiful. My husband has a job in Mobile and we were deciding whether to move to the Florida side. Visited both sides and everything is new in Baldwin County. Especially Spanish Fort and Daphne next to I10. The commute is 40 minutes to Pensacola but great schools, new malls and cheaper to live. Hope this helps. Check it out for yourself.

Keep in mind that Alabama has a state income tax and Florida does not. Property taxes are probably higher in Florida but you don't say whether you are buying a home or not. Personally, I would live as close to my job as possible. Traffic and the cost of gasoline should be factored into your decision.
