Default Area with cheapest rural fertile land - Housing

Here is what I am looking for in order of priority:

1. Area with cheapest land for building or single family housing
2. Most Rural area with least amount of people, least zoning restrictions and taxes.
3. Most fertile land for growing vegatables
4. Warmest

Any suggestions?

btw - I am the type of person if I could find an area in this world to build on, live off the land, that is warm and without many people or friggin taxes I would be there.

Look in the Glades Agricultural area, The soil is some of the most fertile in the world. Most large co-ops grow cane. Lots of veggie farms and nurseys.

Not many people and hotter than you can imagine in summer. The crime rate is high in the towns (Immokolee, Clewiston, Belle Glade, Pahokee) but you might find a diamond in the rough. I also believe the Seminoles are building a Casino in Immokolee.

Good luck..... you'll need it.

I usually use Realtor.com or Zillow but notice even for my area in upstate NY it does not list everything or just the more expensive or hard to sell homes. So for this kind of search in FL is there a particular site or realtor sites that you recommend or is what I am looking for typically not listed?

I want to get an idea of areas and prices first before I fly down to look around. Not sure if these big realtor sites are telling it like it really is for these areas as far as pricing.

Try Myakka. Be very careful to verify the status of of the mineral/surface rights on any property you consider. Phosphate companies hold the rights on some of the properties out that way.
