Heading to Daytona for a comedian in town in the middle of March. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do and where to stay?

Obviously you haven't been to Daytona before. Your places to stay are unlimited and there's lots of things to do both at night or during the day.

Well I actually have been once but it was so long ago that I don't even remember it. I remember a strip of stuff and a ton of bikes since it was bike week. I have been on the Daytona website. I was more so looking for personal Daytona likes. Does anyone have a personal place that they liked ie. bars, restaurants, hotels, parts of the beach, places on the beach etc.????

well i'm a big kid so i enjoy playing mini golf, going to the NASCAR go cart track and things like that. Believe it or not, i couldn't even ride one of the go-carts because i was too short..... and i'm 32 years old!!! UGH... my friends teased at me all night long. There are a few night clubs with dancing and stuff but i always find them too crowded. As far as food, I love Japanese food and there's a place on Main street where they cook in front of you. The tour of the Daytona Speedway at Daytona USA was pretty cool. They drive you around the track and talk about the history of it then you get to stay inside the building and do the activities they have in there. I'm not a big NASCAR fan but i enjoyed it. The best part of the beach of course is around the pier and boardwalk if you like people watching. For a more quiet area go north or south on the beach. I've stayed at quite a few hotels on the beach. Honestly, i can't even remember the names other than the Dessert Inn comes to mind because i always use that place as a target on a map. There's only one time i stayed at a place right over the pier, it was a small hotel and it was nasty but most of the bigger resorts i never had any issues with. Also, if you drive all the way south on A1A along the beach side, you'll come to an end where there is a lighthouse and a large walking pier that stretches out into the ocean. That was nice just for an evening stroll.

Why not try the Hilton Daytona?
It has a private pool and right on the beach too!
