There is no meal period or lunch break requirement under Florida law. That being said - I would contact a wage and hour attorney as a company that is engaging in such conduct is likely breaking other wage and hour laws. DM me if you like.

Breaks are NOT required by any law however if you work through them you must be paid for that time unless you are a management employee who supervises other employees.

It is pretty much the same everywhere else. If you want rights at work, you have to join a UNION.

If you want rights at work, start your own business, invest your own money, put your own assets at risk, and then you can make your rules.
If you don't want to put your assets and money at risk, go work for someone else.

Sorry, I have to say this to you....Then MOVE elsewhere
I have a part-time job. But on the occasion that I do pull in a 8 hour shift, I am given a 1 hour break. I am so sick and tired of people @@##%^^* about "their" home state. There is poverty everywhere. FL is not the only state. UGH

Are you asking if they have to feed you while you are at work or if they have to give you a lunch break.
From what I know they don't have to feed you, but I agree I have never heard of anyone not getting a lunch break if they worked 8 hours

Uhhh..how about the law of science? In order to function and perform laborious duties, the human body requires energy which is derived from consuming an array foods It's what I would tell any employer who forbade me to eat.
