Required to be fed? I don't think there is any requirement to feed you.

Unfortunately Florida is a Right To Work state aka Employment at Will and along with that, there is no Federal law or Florida law for lunch breaks, it's optional based on how fair your Employer is, that much is obvious.
DOL WHD: State Labor Laws: Minimum Rest Period Requirements
U.S. Department of Labor - Find It By Topic - Work Hours - Breaks and Meal Periods
Florida is not a friendly state for workers, but most employers tend to give breaks here.

The only law is for people under the age of 18, for every 4 hours of work you must be given a 30 minute break, if your over 18 then it doesn't apply.

Florida not being a friendly state for workers is an understatement. With this managerial approach it is no wonder there is so much cultivated poverty and ignorance in this State. No one can work themselves out of it. With all its Bible Belt "values" the motto for employers here is Damn the poor. This Law is a nice opening for Confederate style mentalities to continue on acting selfish and Pharonic.

I do believe there is a law but most companies do ignore it. Depends on where you work. The reason I believe there is a law is because I've had mangers tell me take your break it's the law which leads me to believe there is a law that says that they have to give you a break after x amount of hours. There are even laws that require a long distant truck driver to not arrive at a destination with in a certain time frame but I'm sure this one is broken also.

Yes this is true some do enjoy the Pharonic life style but that is how they were raised. For instance I have aunt (fathers side ) who even in a small town only uses back streets because she doesn't like all the traffic. My father whom owns a huge truck and drove it his whole life bought a truck in Orlando but would drive it thu Orlando the guy had to take it to I-4 and let him take over from there. It's not just in Florida it's all over the place in lots of small towns. I also know of people who would love to see their small town grow.
