I won't post too many photos from my "wires and poles" collection, but I absolutely love this one. I call it "The Dancers."

I'll stand at a corner for a few minutes and stare up and imagine things - they way you would if you were staring at clouds and seeing shapes - and this looks like a bunch of people waltzing to me (especially in the lower part of the frame, towards the background).

Today's Washington Post lists Florida as #5 for top 10 jurisdictions by share of adjustable-rate mortgages (Florida at 33%).
This bank in Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida, thinks they're being clever!

I doubt people with Adjustable-rate Mortgages think it is clever.

oh, man. I look at these photos and think, "yep, that's my home state" and I am reminded of why I never go back. Thank you!

It's an absolute dump--people have made it a dump. Back in the 80's people said it was all because of the Cubans. Before that, it was the NYers...also the real estate developers, can't forget them (from up north of course! ha ha!) I remember when South Beach was just a bunch of really wrinkly and tan white haired people, and I'm only 32 so it wasn't that long ago.
What a dump. Love the scrappy, scraggly Florida landscape, though. And the lizards!

Got any garbage beach pics, anyone?

Would you like cockroaches with that?

On a side note, I've driven in Florida myself (my father lives in Ft. Myers), and it's amazing how many pedestrians just stepped off the curb without even checking for traffic!!! Luckily, I'm very good at swerving. I understand that they have the right of way, but these people seemed almost suicidal!
If you would live here (Port Saint Lousy...sorry, typo, Lucie), you would be suicidal too.....LOL

Wow, that's a lot of accidents. This is a really sad story and I'm wondering if anyone remembers it. In 1980 part of the St. Pete bridge collapsed and 12 vehicles went into the ocean. I believe there was only one survivor.
