What's so scary about a Drawbridge? I always thought that they were pretty neat.

It's hard to see angles like this from the air, so I had to get you all some ground coverage. Gorgeous!

These are giant sandbags on St. Pete Beach that keep the beach from washing away (sort of).

To know Florida is to hate drawbridges! Good pic Tallrick, sometimes I wonder if a Cat 5 on Miami Beach would just give them a chance to start from scratch to pave South Florida over COMPLETELY. I don't think even a hurricane can wipe the minds clean of the idiot speculators in Florida or the real estate agents, "it will be a great investment in the long term!"

Let's see, horror stories....

FPL (electric company) refused to cut and trim back trees on THEIR right of way (and residents or the city were NOT allowed to trim them) and we suffered a power outage for 8 days in August. Low and behold another hurricane came along a month later and bam, another 8 day power outage. FPL lets their wooden power poles rot so they can blow over in a tropical storm and charges residents a special storm tax so we have to pay to fix them instead of them paying from their record profits to maintain them.

A shantytown has oficially formed in Miami-in Liberty City. People cannot afford the overpriced, run down garbage that passes for flimsy housing here, so now they live in tents and cardboard houses on a busy corner. The thing is, the shantytown has reached its limit and they are turning squatters away now! Welcome to Miami! Even the homeless keep coming.

In Miami abandoned boats aren't too common, but stolen ones sure are. However our urban landscape is peppered with mattresses, old office equipment with county government stickers on it, 3 month old tree branches piled up and dumped....flocks of wild chickens that run around and crap all over the place...sacrificed dead goats and chickens too....oh wait, I am being a board hog. I will stop and let other share their own daily slices of hell from Florida.

Bring em on!
