Default Puerto Ricans could transform Florida politics, and parties are taking notice

Puerto Ricans could be the Sunshine State's swing vote.

* Puerto Ricans now number about 1 million in Florida and are set to overtake Cubans as the largest Hispanic group in the state.
Since they usually vote for Dems their current influx into the state could turn Florida into a blue state.

remember when the media tried to trick voters to vote against trump because he would crash the stock market... LOL, the media is a joke these days. It will be interesting how 2020 pans out. Hopefully this time, the DNC doesnt give a candidate full control of the DNC a year before the primaries even start!

I know it may be too early, but does anyone have any idea on how many Puerto Ricans have ended up in city/metro jurisdictions? It'll be interesting to see demographic and political changes this makes.

Anyone w/ a brain is aware of his incompetence. Just have to read his tweets - nothing the media said/did made me think the guy was over his head. Only time will tell if this administration will provide us w/ solid economic decisions to keep Obama's recovery going. BTW, stock market values are speculative measures and doesn't necessarily indicate underlying market indicators. Many investors are listening to CEOs who say that any tax reductions will go to stockholders (not new hires) - thus the market increase. Me? I think it's a bubble waiting to burst, so watch out.

Get used to it. Puerto Rico will never be rebuilt, not in any meaningful way. It was in big financial trouble before the hurricane.

My guess is the plan is to transfer as much of the population as possible to the mainland, while the island and its resources get divvied up between investors and sold off piecemeal to corporations. It's over for Puerto Rico and unless you're a resident who has something to offer to one of the corporations that takes over, it's best to hightail it outta there or you may end up being starved out.
