I am not speaking of Florida or any part of the country but I too wondered why this question was asked.I mean,it is only your preference that counts.
Odd kind of a survey.
I mean what ice cream do you like? I don't get it.

Most people that prefer HEAT move to Florida. If you post the same question in the Vermont forum most people will prefer the cold. They will mention how beautiful the sky is and it doesn't feel bad with the sun out, especially if you are in an area protected from the wind.
I like the heat...but all of these people responding that they prefer the heat are justifying their move to Florida. How many of them do you think live without AC in their cars, homes, and job when it is 90 and humid? None, except me. I dont have AC in my house, my car does, and I usually use it when it rains or if I am stuck in traffic at PM rush hour. I work at home and have fans, good ventialtion and shade in the yard, so I DO prefer the heat. But I know most people who claim to enjoy it really don't. We have the same long hot season like you have the long cold season. You just have to pick the lesser of the two evils. Rarely will someone actually enjoy either of the two.

I'd definitely take the 90 degrees and things are now at the point in our lives that we're heading south. Our first summer will be a bit rough because we're first coming out of winter, but there won't be anymore -50 degrees for me.

This question gets asked over and over again and in my opinion it's just a way to cause divisiveness.
