Default Camping in central & northern FL

Hi all, we live in hollywood fl and love camping we lost our faverite local place to go thanks to wilma & burocracy. We are looking for good places to camp with lots of trees & lake, bicickling, etc. Now have older than dirt trailer, will try tent camping or someday new trailer so we can go further, any help will be apreciated. Little hole in the wall places are sometimes the best PS MY SPELLING IS REAL BAD sory I can't find spell check, I hate when that happens

We live in St Augustine and have camped in town at Anastasia State Park....it's a beach front state park with camping. We only tent camped but more than 1/2 were campers. It's a nice big secluded yet close enough to other stuff for day trips. You have to book online though and b/c of great location books up quite fast.

Yes i agree. Anastasia park is very nice. We also stay at the Tomoka state park in Daytona. It's just over the bridge from the beach. We usually camp at the State parks since it's easier to find them and they are usually clean. Here's a link to the state web site and all the parks. Just click the drop down "find a park" menu and you'll have all kinds that you can pick and choose from.

Hanna Park (Jacksonville) is great!

You can tent, rv or rent one of their cabins:

Our family absolutely loves camping in the Ocala National Forest. There are the springs and we love to off-road in our SUV. I think we were at Alexander Springs last time and was really enjoyable for us and the kids.

If you are interested in Northwest Florida, check out rv camping at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park ....

Or you may try Grayton Beach State Park

There are a couple more RV Campgrounds but the previous 2 we mentioned are along the Scenic Highway 30A with coastal dune lakes, the gulf, and an 18 mile bike path that weaves in and out of the coastal communities along our scenic beach road. Below are the additional sites:
