I am looking to purchase a new home in Florida and I have narrow the search down to three locations Palm Bay, Melbourne or Port St Lucie. Which area would be the best location?

All three locations have good and bad points. It would all depend on your situation! Children, retired, job transfer???? Need more info...

Default Home in Florida

I am looking for a second home in Florida. It would only be for myself and my husband. Some place close to the beach and small town not big city. The new homes in Palm Bay seem very resonable?

Check out Vero Beach, FL Nice town close to the ocean. Could be a bit pricey!

It sounds that the cost of the home will at least be factor in when/where you purchase your second home . Do yourself a favor, explore some of the earlier posts on this forum. If you are looking to buy a second home in Florida, it can be extremely expensive. Property taxes for this 2nd home will often be double what your neighbors pay. Insurance will be expensive, if you can get it. Running the A/C year round and HOA fees may be higher than you might expect. Throw in the last facet... Will your home be worth significantly less in a year from now?
