We are in upstate New York and planning on selling our house in early -June. Our plans are to relocate to the Gainesville area of Florida(not necessarily living in Gainesville, but more in the surrounding communites). We definitely want age-restricted, with amenities, in a new housing development, preferabley not manufactured homes. (We see that Ocala has On Top of the World, and a couple of other age-restricted communities newly developed...but we are afraid that Ocala does not have the infrasturcture to support all it's explosive growth. )

We are seeking Gainesville as we currently live in a large community with a large population of college students and great medical care, and Gainesville sound very similar to where we currently live. Plus, it's been rated as Best Places to Live in several publications, so something right must be going on there.

Any suggestions as to age-restricted communities surrounding the Gainesville area are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
