My sister and I, 71 and 66, respectively, are planning to retire in FL next year. We have been considering Leesburg and Ocala. The community we have looked at in Ocala is On Top of the World (OTOW).

In my research, I came across Plantation at Leesburg (PA). I love the larger lots and mature trees. The HOA fees are great. I know OTOW has much more, but PAL seems to have quite a bit for the money.

We would buy new in OTOW and a resale in PAL.

Does anyone know the the dog limitations? We have three dogs, one is my sister's assistance dog. She is disabled.

Is PAL a golf cart community where we can go to grocery stores, etc., without driving. I know this is doable in OTOW.

I am also looking for pros/cons from anyone who lives at PAL or has lived there.

Any information is much appreciated.

TY Karen
