We didn't blame planes, or ban their use....we did what we could to make sure that the wrong people don't get their hands on them. We also didn't determine that the only planes we could use from that point forward were small planes because too many could die if a large plane went down. And, to carry the analogy out, ad nauseam, planes are used as both instruments of war and for peaceful purposes, as are guns yet, for some reason, people only want to talk about eliminating or severely curtailing the use of guns and gun accessories.

If we could snap our fingers and eliminate all existing semi-automatic guns and magazines, do you know what would happen? No one would die from a semi-automatic gun...it's absolutely true. Unfortunately, that can't happen and, even if it could, people would still find ways to kill or hurt other people just as they have throughout time. Timothy McVeigh did it with a truck and some fertilizer.
its not n all or nothing proposition. If we can minimize the loss of life, we should strie to do so.

I get it but you are calling for something that is impossible to implement, wouldn't be effective in stopping
those who are bent on large-scale murder, and would make hundreds of thousands of lawful owners into criminals. Not to mention that it (banning semi-automatic rifles designated as "assault types") has been done and was abandoned because it was ineffective.

We all want the situation made better and I hope this new woman in Tally has some good ideas but doing the same things again that didn't work before doesn't seem like much of a solution from here.

I asked for a source. That implies that you use a credible one. Not Media Matters, Daily Kos, Buzzfeed, HuffPo, etc.
Can you cite a source stating most weapons used in mass shootings were obtained illegally? And preferably not from Infowars, NRA, Fox, Breitbart etc.

Thx

Fox is a legitimate news source. The number one cable news outlet for how many years now? Besides, that's not how this works. I posed the question. YOU answer it.....or not.

Calm down guys, we (Floridians) have a Republican Governor, Republican Congress with strong NRA ties, and a Republican AG. No need for all the workup concerning bans and ect. The AG does have the responsibility of enforcing the existing laws on the books per the State constitution. I'm not sure why this would be an issue, no changes have been proposed.

Coming from someone who thinks mmgw is fake, I don't find your quack medical opinions to be surprising,, but that still doesn't make it true.

Mental illness funding has been cut big time under republicans, including trump

Well, they could go back to only allowing mail in applications for permits and renewals. That would clog the system up and no way they could issue in 90 days. She could also cut down on the amount of staff hired as well.

This is why I like permitless carry states where you don't need a permit to carry. Like Missouri for example allows conceal carry without needing a permit.

Nikki is a little hottie though.
