Miami and the Keys right now are in the upper 70s,central Florida and north the temps are still in the 60s or close to 70.I remember going two weekends in a row to the beach in the summer, first was Daytona and I believe it said the temperature was in the 82-84 range.I got in but it was still cold as you got in,your body had to get used to it but even once you did it never felt warm. The next week I went to Clearwater, the temperature of the water was like 86-87,from the moment I got in it was warm,no period of adjustment, just warm the whole time. From that day I prefer the gulf beaches, just warmer and calmer,a lot of times the Atlantic beaches have a lot of waves.

We hit the beach this weekend with the water temp around 65 degrees and it was painful to be in there just to the ankles. Some brave souls were swimming and boogie boarding without wet suits but they were likely tourists, lol.
