Florida, I love you
Hey, y'all! I'm a former Utahn turned Floridian, and I transplanted here last year. I'm loving this state. You have no idea how relieving it was to spend the winter in 50/60 degree temperatures, surrounded by lush vegetation and, more importantly, no snow! This is also the first time I live in a coastal state, and I didn't know what the beach looked like in real life until now.
The only problem I have is that I'm living in a pretty bad part of Tampa. I got mugged last December, and there seems to be a lot of gang activity going on around here. Other than that, things aren't too bad (I hope, lol). I'm planning to move to a safer neighborhood in the Tampa bay area.
I'll take a Palmetto over a Pine any day.

I am glad you are enjoying yourself, the beaches in that part of the state are beautiful. Good luck on your move.

Wait until you go through your first summer in Dallas . The winter is really nice too. One day it's 80 degrees and muggy like the worst of Florida and in a matter of hours, the already stopped-dead traffic becomes slower as the road is now encompassed by ice! Oh, and Texas is one of the 24 right to work states (This seems to be an agenda of yours about Florida, not that anything so great comes out of a labor union). Enjoy anyway .

You already moved why do you still come here and post how much it sucks in florida? I think we get the point, you posted 278 times how much you hate florida.
Go out and enjoy your new home forget florida, you solved your problem and left. Also enjoy the 115 degrees texas summers.

After 5 florida summers, I can honestly say that your dire prediction is over-blown. It's hot and humid. So?

And don't forget the occasional adrenaline pumping excitement called hurricane warnings!
