Hi everyone! Just accepted a job offer this upcoming July in Hudson hospital and was wondering if anyone had recommendations on where to live? I'm a 30 y/o single professional and would preferably like to live in a more, populated lively town but preferably within a 30 minute commute from the med center. Should I start looking into towns like Odessa and Trinity? Thanks

Neither Odessa or Trinity offer much outside of suburban strip centers in terms of places to go and are very family-oriented.
I would recommend looking at Tarpon Springs instead. It has a nice little downtown area with some nice bars/restaurants/shopping and is located at the northern terminus of the Pinellas Trail running/bike trail which brings a younger professional population into town. Tarpon Springs is seen often as somewhat touristy however the downtown area away from the waterfront area is much more inclined toward locals in it's varying establishments.

I agree with Kyle - take a look at Tarpon Springs. It's a cute town with a lot more to do.

Thanks for the recommendations so far everyone! I will definitely check out Tarpon Springs area. Any thoughts on any of the suburbs closer to the Northwest/North Tampa Area (Land O Lakes, Lutz)? Theoretically my day will be starting at around 6 am so I'm guessing traffic wont be too bad during the commute from there as well.

Both (Land O Lakes and Lutz) are more of that new build/strip center family-oriented suburbia that you'll probably want to avoid if seeking any kind of social life with people your age.

Living on the North side of Tampa limits opportunities should you decide to take a more lucrative job in St. Pete or Tampa, because the further you go North, the more it thins out. The home prices decrease as well the further out you go, so consider how close you want to be to the city, and on the flip side how much you want to be bled silly by home prices there. I live in far Eastern Hudson off of highway 52 in a gated community. I am 5 minutes from the toll road to Tampa, 30 minutes to Tampa International Airport.
