Hi, our family is looking to move from Southern California to Wellington next year. We have two young kids. One of the main reason for our move is to provide a more Free enviornment for our kids to grow up. Here in southern Cal, we live in a very nice city. But kids don't just play outside, and ride their bikes everywhere like how it was when we grew up. All the play dates were set ahead of the time, and parents are driving kids around to each other's houses or parks for them to hang out as a pre-planned event.
Does anyone who lives in Wellington knows if kids in Wellington is still able to do what we use to do as kids? During our visits, it seems that a lot more kids are walking to school, riding their bikes around freely. Is it a normal thing there? Our impression is that the city still has that Small town feel, where people are friendly neighbors and kids can just go out and play without worry. Is that the case? Thanks for any input you may have. |
