Default Possibly moving to Panama City area

Hi all,
My family & I may be moving to the Panama City area this summer. I have been doing alot of searching and reading but am not seeing the info I'm looking for, so... Is there any areas that would be recommended for a family? We have 3 kids, 1 in High School, 2 in Middle school. It seems rental prices are not to bad compared to other areas we might be going to ie: Tampa area. How is the housing market there? Although we will be renting initally, I'm sure eventually we will buy and the things I am reading about taxes and insurance are scaring the c**p out of me! Any info at all about the area(s) would be great!

Mosley is a really good high school. Go to Greatschools.net and compare.
I believe housing prices have been dropping at PC.
As for taxes and insurance, it can be pretty crazy all over Florida.

Default kid activities

I have noticed that Lynn Haven seems to be more family focused but not much to do. I have been doing hours of research on the area and can not find many activities for kids....gymnastics, piano lessons, swimming, dance, cheer, karate....If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear some. I tried to get on the YMCA page but I am blocked here at work...oh well. Hopefully that is nice with some good programs. Does anyone know of indoor activities for kids?
Thanks
Dee
