My husband and I are looking to relocate in North Port by the end of the year. We are looking to rent a house/apartment before we buy, to make sure we like the area. We have three small childen so we need to be in a nice, safe, affordable area. Can anyone tell me which areas to look into and where to stay away from?

There are several parts of North Port that are kid-friendly & safe; are you looking to be in a gated community or not? As for renting first (always a good idea), if you want to rent a house, I would look for the help of a realtor. Toledo Club Apartments is a very nice apartment complex, too.
