I don't disagree. I am a transplant from Maine (scenically not too different then washington), and I was dissapointed that there is NO soil, no flowers, nothing pretty except for the beach (which is inhabited by spring breakers and snow birds most of the time). Visiting here is a lot different than living here. Get ready for some major culture shock.

As far as a singles scene for your age group....there is none. This place is awesome if you are a spring breaker or a retiree. However, I know someone in their late 30s and they have been single for a while for that reason exactly.

Also, you'll want to keep your kids away from spring break...trouble
