I really like living in Florida now. It took me about 30 months to get settled. I know where to avoid, what's good, what's great. I'm good.

Good for you! Feels great, doesn't it, to feel "settled", so to speak.

I'm still working on it.
I absolutely *love* where we live, but we're both still struggling with employment issues.

Good for you! We've been here 27 months and still have good and bad days. Someone commented on it's all about meeting the right people and I have to agree. I dont think we've gotten there. A nice stead group of friends is what we miss most about NY. Not gossipy, honest, trustful, not fake but most importantly where I can just be me. I feel like most of the people I meet here are neighbors who just talk to everyone so that they can go back to others to spread the latest gossip on "Wisteria Lane"

I'm happy for you Muggy!! I hope I get there soon b/c I'm tired of feeling friendless.
