I read lots and lots of posts about people that are angry about their high homeowners insurance. I am going to Tallahassee for the opening day of the Special Session. I am going to plant myself on the steps of the Capitol and let my voice be heard. I am just wondering if anyone else is going...or only going to complain about it. I read another post that someone said stop complaining and be part of the solution and tha't what I intend on doing. There is a group in my area that have scheduled buses to ride people to Tallahassee. They had a great article in today's Tampa Tribune http://www.tbo.com/news/metro/MGBRZFE3AWE.html (broken link)

The power of people showing at the capitol will have a positive effect. Now the solution will take a lot of giving and taking by all of us. I always like to look for a positive ending, but in this one not everyone is going to be happy about the result.

If some one will come with a generic homeowners insurance that is fair for all, will be great. Maybe an insurance owned by the Florida residents, just like we own stocks for companies. This has a potential, I'm e-mailing the new GOV tonight.....
