Was just in the Palm Beach area last week for several days and can't say I observed anything wide open, in fact it reminds me of home with everyone wearing masks, restaurant tables removed and people maintaining the same precautions that are in place for most places.

Are you suggesting a cover up? Incompetence? A mistake?

The numbers have been confirmed and disseminated by the CDC. Are we not going to believe them when they don’t line up with our political ideology?

In the case of Florida, I'd trust the state over the feds anyday.

I live in the PB area. Everything is wide open - but mask usage is also very common. It’s required everywhere in public, contrary to what the media tells you.

Yes -- Same in Orange county. Everything is wide open, but masks are still required in public. But just about every restaurant and bar is wide open. Outdoor seating has become more commonplace, but it was already quite common everywhere, considering this is Florida.

In Pinellas County, it looks like everything is fully open with little to no "social distancing" in place. Masks are still required.

But are the mask requirements from the local governments or from the businesses? I do believe the state has done away with the requirement and where I am, all local governments have also ditched the requirement.

I believe Orange County is one of the few that still has a full on mask requirement.

I'm speculating, but from my observation, it looks like Pinellas might be from the businesses... Seems much less strict.

Nobody listens to the mask mandates anyways, so it really doesn't matter whether there is one in place or not. Businesses are a different story, they are private property, so they have the right to enforce their policies, just like they can require clothes to enter lol.

This has been a problem in the past. IIRC, code enforcement has intervened when the labor brokers are charging the student 1000/month (or such) to be one of 8 people hot effectively hot bunking in a two bedroom townhouse.
