I like to look at aerial views of property and surrounding area. Is there a web site with current views? I use the googol search but the pictures I know are at least a few years old in many cases. I can tell looking at my property. I haven't owned the car parked in the driveway for three years.

Go to your county propeprty appraiser website, they normaly have aerial views. We have it at Santa Rosa County

On ours we go from "show zoning" and select "Show Aerial Images". The county sites should be set up the same way. Also, you can see sales for the past 3 years if you are selling/buying great tool.

Yeah, I can see mine on Zillow. The problem is that it is at least 1 1/2 years old because they have just started building our pool in the picture. I know the County Property Appraiser has more updated pictures because I was talking with him on the phone last summer and he said he pulled a real time picture of my property up and looked at it as we talked. However, I have not found it available to the public on the website. Kinda freaky and scary!!

Google does update. My old rental has my car out front, and from other neighborhood elements looks to be only 3-6 months old.

I found this site
http://www.brainygeography.com/

The pictures are very clear I was looking at, but still at least a year old. You probably have to subscribe to a site to have real time images like you see on the news.

My wife recently looked at a beautiful property in Bristol and it looked great on the views I looked at. When she went there the neighbor has dog kennels and the 8 hours she was there they never stopped barking. I think they would have been visible in a good aerial view. Even with five acres in that quiet setting she said it was unbearable.

When you chose to live out a ways with fewer rules, you find there is a reason for certain rules. A while back we looked at a nice property that the realtor neglected to tell us backed up to I-10. It's a nice piece of property and still for sale if you could just move it a few thousand feet. Of course the price would be a little different also if that was the case.

I came across our house on google; it's really kind of neat looking at your home from the air and, I agree...kinda scary at the same time.

Muggy, I'm glad you brought up Zabasearch. We first found out about it a few months ago. I can't believe all that info is out there about us. It's scary.

Jammie, we're gonna get way off-topic (maybe a good topic for "general U.S?") but have you ever taken a "nostalgia tour" via google Earth?

It literally is "a trip!"
