I am new to this site and have been trying to read all of these posts. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some information about Satellite Beach? My hubby & I have recently inherited a home there. We were down there in January and just fell in love with the location! It is located a half block from the beach!!!!! We always wanted to live by the beach but never could afford anything close to that here in Jersey So we are tossing the idea of maybe relocating there? I think actually the location of the house is consider Patrick shores? It is about a 1/2 mile from Patrick Air force base.
I really can't stand this cold any more and the snow we hate it!!! but you must have heard that statement a ZILLION times LOL
I just want to wear sandels everyday for the rest of my life LOL

Moved a bit south of satellite and spent first winter away from the cold and ice. I know this winter was mild up there but did you have a tan?! Single 40's and more of same here. Better attitudes about everything. Jobs in every field but lower pay but fewer vacation dollars needed. Hope you'll love it

Hey thanks for ur response, my husband & I are making plans to return to Satellite Beach in a few wks can't wait I know it is hot down there now but it is just as hot up here in Jersey right now. the plus is that the house is half block from beach hopefully this trip will help us determine what we will do about moving down there next summer? thanks

I love Satellite Beach. The beaches are lovely and undeveloped compared to many other Florida beach areas.

Go for it! Enjoy it!

If you are moving there, you can even upload video for your people up north to see.
It's worth a visit.

Both my daughters live in Satellite and love it. They are both married to AF guys; one is on base and can see the waves from her balcony and the other is off base and 3 blocks from the ocean.

One was married on the Beach at Indian Harbour. There is a WONDERFUL little restaurant in SB called Goombays on the right as you are headed south... we go there every time we visit the girls.

They were both raised within 30 minutes of the beach in DE and are thrilled to be so close to another beach.

Becky I do know where Goombays is my house is right down the street I am about 8 houses in from the beach and I LOVE IT!!! Now my hubby and I are deciding what the deal is are we relocating or ????
We just got back last month after 5 wks there and loved it, except missed my kids a whole lot, but they are older in their 20's I am leaning on hey why not just do something so totally not like me and GO! I tell them that for there bday and xmas they can expect airline tickets to satellite bch to come and visit LOL
Oh yeah and seeing those air force planes flying over the house just about everyday WOW

one day while taking my daily walk on the beach (nothing in the world like it) I did see a couple taking wedding photos and boy I was thinking how the heck is she walking in those heels in the sand!! but I know it was worth it. Marilyn
