What do you need to know?

Lake City and Live Oak are substantial towns - they have Walmart, Lowe's, Publix, etc.

Lee is a rural area, not really a town at all.

Lake City is the biggest of the three, and feels the biggest. It's a bit of a hub for vacationers to stop on their way further south, and it's where two major interstates meet (I-10, 1-75). From Lake City you have fairly easy access to Jacksonville and Gainesville.

Live Oak is smaller than Lake City and has more of a small town feel.

I just wanted to know how the general area was, crime, friendliness of the people, if they are ok with newcomers. The general feel for the area. If there is a Starbucks there, then I am good!

Crime is not a serious concern. In my experience, the people have been friendly, but I've never lived there so I couldn't say how easy the adjustment would be in terms of being a newcomer to the area.

I like the area, especially Suwannee County (Live Oak area). The Suwannee River is beautiful and I love spending time there. In my opinion, it's one of the most naturally beautiful parts of the state.

There is a Starbucks in Lake City.
