Car insurance- new in US
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good car insurance ? We moved from Denmark to Florida in February and just got a insurance without checking out the market. It is very expensive - we have been driving in Denmark for 15 years without claims and have proof from our Danish insurance - company, but so far no company cares about that. We are paying as if we were 18 years old or something.
Hope someone here knows where to get a good deal. Ive tried ensurance.com but they havent called/emailed me as they promised.

It's like that in all states. You start like a new driver. Florida is a safe driver state. The always start you as a safe driver, insurance is not cheap in the US, trust me. go to Car Insurance | Car Insurance Quotes | Online Car Insurance | Online Car Insurance Rate, or Esurance Auto Insurance - Online auto insurance quotes, comparisons, & car insurance resources.. They do comparison pricing.

yup, same happened to me.
four years of driving experience without any accidents and a german driving-school-education doesn't matter to them :<
can't wait until I turn 25 and can finally get at least a little lower rates. right now i'd be paying $280 a month for a 2002 mazda with full coverage. i dooooon't think so. got about the lowest coverage there is, still $90 a month...
crap.

Travellers is actually a very good company. I have Encompass Indemnity, and they are the BEST company I ever used.

This past winter when I was still up in Utah finishing school I hit a curb in a snow storm , at-fault accident, $3000 claim. My new rate: $609 for 6 months as opposed to $450. I get down here and get quoted $1200 for 6 months. WTF, just *being* in Florida is a greater cost factor than an at-fault accident 3 months before???
