I've been wearing SPF 15 moisturizer on my face and parts of my arms every day this week, been outside more than 20 minutes a day, and I still feel like I've been getting alot of sun- and I'm not fair skinned. I'm not a sun worshipper and I hate what Florida does to peoples skins. You can get a tan here on a cloudy day easily. A couple decades of Florida isn't pretty. I've gone up to using Helioplex and that stuff isn't cheap because the sun down here is so intense. All that money on sunscreens is money out of my pocket.

I've got a wierd mole on one of my fingers I should probably have checked out one of these days- I didn't have it two years ago. I try to wear sunscreen every day in the summer but I think they don't make a sunscreen strong enough.

Have you moved since this thread, Magnulus?

I would take this type of weather (sunny, hot & humid) ANY day over gray and cold days with snow up to our "ears"! Tons of layers, trees with no leaves and all of nature pretty much dead!!!

I will take that cold, rainy, cloudy stuff every few days over this consistent hot, humid, swamp air.

Yes I really hate walking my dogs around 2pm-3pm (they need three walks so one has to be mid day with our schedules unfortunately) and then needing another shower. It's so gross...bring on Oc err December!!

but here it is day after day and month after month. When is it in the 70s in the day or 60s at night in the summer? Hell, normally it's not that until FEBRUARY in Naples, IF we are lucky.

I feel you...I have vacationed there in the summer and know that the humidity can be a killer. However, I am sooo looking forward to it! I am in Arizona right now and we have the lovely monsoon moisture flow (yet somehow I haven't seen a storm in a year) and this weekend the big story was about the cool down...105, that's our big cool down! Last week it was 118 and I don't care WHAT people say about dry heat, 118 is 118. It's so oppressive I can't even function sometimes and will split my errands up in days

I'll take hot humid over hot and dry any day of the week. I don;t like windburned cracked skin.
