Anyone know Windover Farms in Melbourne?
hi everyone,
we're looking at a house right now in the community of Windover Farms. It looks pretty, but I was wondering if anybody has any comments on the area.
We have a 1 year old daughter and will probably have another, so we're looking for an area that is family oriented and peaceful, feeling like we 're in the country (even though melboune is overrun with strip malls! :O)
anything you could add about the area would be much appreciated!! thanks so much!

I know a little bit about it
Oh wow, we had some very good family friends who used to live there over 10 years ago. I haven't been back since about '95. I remember there being a park in the complex with a pavilion. Who knows, it may have changed a lot over the years.
The website does describe Windover Farms as a " peaceful country setting."
Yes, you will have easy access to many strip malls. The Avenue Viera is a nice shopping mall under 10 miles away.

really nice neighborhood. it is really strict on the HOA rules so don't move there if you don't plan to follow them.
i actually was looking there before we left FL

My folks live in Windover Farms if you have any more specific questions about it. They've been happy there for years and it always seems peaceful, clean and pretty each time I visit. I like that the lots are bigger and it's not over-crowded, too. Good Luck!

Annie 123,
I hope that you have moved to Windover Farms of Melbourne. We've lived here for 20 years and love it. It really is like living in the country, but close to shopping, theater, education, dining, medical care, churches, etc. Really this is the best. We have nature paths, a tot playground, tennis courts, racket ball courts, fishing ponds, a picnic pavilion and even our own radio station.
I belong to a book club and there are other interest clubs as well. If you haven't found one keep looking.
