ive lived here 11 years .pensacola is not the fun capitol of the world . as far as entertainment goes , downtown pensacola has a few places (ex. captain funs) to go clubbin, some people go to fort walton beach and mobile,al for partying and entertainment . the most shopping you will find is cordova mall which is mediocre. a lot of people i know go to alabama to the riviera mall which is larger and has more selection .

im not sure on the fishing , i dont fish.

the best pizza place around is Santino's on bayou blvd. they give you a good bang for your buck.

there is a flea market on W st. but its nothing special , you may like it though. if you take a little drive to gulf breeze there is a flea market there that i have heard is better (ive never been , though i have been to the zoo across the street) .

pensacola is nothing special. beach goers will slightly appreciate it , elderly people appreciate it , people that hate going through winter and having seasons will appreciate it.

im currently trying to relocate to connecticut or massachusetts .

good luck

For true high-end designer clothes, the only place is Pensacola Blues. Their mall is atrocioius; they don't even have a Macy's, much less Saks or Nordstrom!!

My suggestions is that if you're looking for fun and high fashion, DON'T move to P'cola. An evening out for your average P'colian involves McGuire's with a stop at Krispy Kreme on the way home!

If you've gotta move to Pensacola and you're dead set on doing the best things the city has to offer, here's a short list:

Bonefish Grill - chain restaurant, but excellent
McGuire's Irish Pub - the first, the best
Pensacola Blues - high end denim
Hemmingway's Island Grill - out on P'cola beach, great food and atmosphere
Global Grill - a few martinis will cost you $80, but the food is GOOD!

Other than that, I'd say drive to Destin and Mobile for your entertainment.

Good luck and watch out for the Pensacola Beach riots!!! (Just type in "Pensacola Beach Riots" on youtube, you'll see.....)
