This will start in August. They will get no profit on this money and stated the increase is solely to offset fuel increases.

Hmmm... no profit, but the CEO makes 15 million/year and I heard he takes a helicopter into work to FPL's Juno Beach headquarters.

what is fpl? we are thinking of relocating to viera so i was just curious. i hear its expensive to get homeowners here too??

Florida Power & Light, the state's electricity providing monopoly. Now 1 kilowatt is about 10.2 cents. It'll be ~11.8 cents if the increase is approved.

Just wait until the carbon reduction plan Crist wants is enacted. I guarantee rates will go up at least 50%.

uggh you had to ruin my morning by even mentioning his name..I wont even go there.

We do have a monopoly here and our rates are outrageous. At least post hurricane they are actually doing (FPL) something to maintain the poles and cutting back interferring trees.
