Default 24yrs old, where to move?

I am considering moving to florida from pittsburgh. I have no idea where to start looking for employment so I figured I would ask for some advice here. I am a 24yr old single male, and currently employed in the corrections industry. I would like to stay in the field of law enforcement/corrections. I have no idea what areas to look at. My main reason for moving is to be close to the beach and enjoy the sunny weather. I would appreciate any advice on what areas a young single guy would enjoy, as well as any words of advice about the employment opportunities. Thanks...

How are you certified? Do you plan on working for the county or the state? The pay and locations are quite a bit different.

no certification. I would need to go through the type of academy that the Dept of Corrections/LE Agency I am hired by provides. Moreso than employment information I would like some information on different areas to begin my search.

Look at the website for the Orange County Corrections Department...(make sure you specify Orange County Florida or you'll get California)

They have just recently expanded the jail facility and is state of the art..
Keep in mind that OCJ is NOT run by the sheriff like most other county jails.
The jail is in Orlando which is only an hour from the beach.

I've heard good things about Hillsborough Co Jail (Tampa).

Volusia would be for Daytona Beach.

I don't know anything about Miami/Dade or Jacksonville, hopefully someone else can help you out with these.

Just determine what's important to you as a lifestyle and go from there.

Every city in Florida is very different.

Important for me in life is happiness. For me to be happy I need good weather, a beach nearby, a gym, a job, and plenty of women.
