I am planning on moving to Seminole County/Lake county Florida sometime early next Summer ('09). I am getting really frustrated looking at apartmentratings.com because it seems that everyone's apartment is horrendous and there are some major things wrong with them. I will be working at a Hospital in Orlando but I also have a 10 year ld son and do not want to live in the heart of the city. Can anyone please reccomend some communities to look at when I travel to Florida this fall? I am search of something outside of the city, safe for children and families, a newer community and rent under $1200/month. ANY imput would be appreciated.
Thanks |

Lake Mary or Winter Springs.Nice safe communities and you can find a really nice higher class place for that price.Only problem on living here is the jobs i find here in the Central Florida area ARE RIDICLOUSLY LOW.

...if you don't...then get your resume ready and start mailing it out...you might get some job offers/interviews/etc...there is a shortage of RN's throughout Florida...and several hospitals are flying you down for interviews as well as assisting in moving expenses...As far as a place to stay...there are several chains out there that offer extended stay options...they offer a larger room/bedrooms/kitchen/etc...and the best part is you don't have to sign a lease...this way...when you find a place that you like...you can move there when you are ready.... ...besides...there is nothing worse than signing a lease that you can't get out of and finding out that you hate the place... ... |

You're really lucky. Being an RN is one of the best jobs to have in Florida. Best of luck.

I am originally from the UK, and came over here as at that time there was a shortage of nurses in Florida by 11,000! |

Wow... I'm surprised to hear there's a saturation of nurses anywhere these days... I came down from Boston in 2003. Easily found a job AND kept my N.E. salary. Good luck! |

I'm hoping someone can help me. I am looking to relocate in Orlando Florida and my husband is a paramedic and will be currently becoming an RN. We are looking to get an idea of the pay rate for Rn's and he will also be looking to become a flight medic. And I read in one of the notes that they would pay for us to move down from CT? Look forward to a response. Thanks
