What a whale

A Humpback Whale was recently spotted over Memorial Weekend! Many beachgoers had the rare opportunity or seeing a Humpback Whale pass along the Emerald Coast. Whales are not a common sight along the Emerald Coast.

Default Jellyfish in Destin sited

We were staying right on the beach in Destin and saw about 4 Moon jelly fish that washed up on the beach. They like a clear sand dollar. We were there May 8 thru the 15th. We just returned and the beaches were clean...no oil!

Yup - entire family got jellyfish stings from the sanddollar size - not fun, but bearable. Sharks are off the coast, but far enough out. Beautiful beach - one of my favorites.
