Cape San Blas and all the Port St Joe beaches (Gulf County) are dog-friendly, too.
But canines are not welcome at Mexico Beach. (Bay County.)

BTW
Even Walton County property owners who pay the $30 for tags can only have their dogs on the beach at certain times of the day: Between 3pm-9am Standard time, 6pm-8am Daylight Savings
State-owned beach areas of Walton County prohibit dogs.

I appreciate the suggestions! Do the dogs have to be on a leash on these beaches? It's a little hard to swim with one!

Dogs are supposed to be on leash at all these beaches.
However, in my experience, the guys patrolling the Port St Joe beaches were pretty mellow about well-trained dogs with considerate owners. Our dog went swimming all the time, and we let him off leash because he's good with voice control. If you have a wanderer, you might want to be a little more careful.
Also, maybe it should go without saying, but just in case: please clean up after Fido.

Thanks for the input...Mandy, (our little girl), is well behaved and is always under voice control. Know what you mean about the clean up! It is important and we DO do it!

Thank you all for the info. We will be leaving for the Gulf this Friday....
Hopefully we'll be able to get Mandy to a beach where she is allowed to swim!

We're orginally from CA and never had a problem getting her to a beach...FL is VERY different! With everything I've learned from all you nice people, I'm sure we'll all have a wonderful time.

Thanks again.....
