Hi,

My husband & I are moving to FL this year. We've toured tons and tons and tons of model homes. We've made a short list of builders that we want to revisit when we move.

What do you think of the quality of Ameritrend Homes? They are priced really well & I like their available upgrades and that they can customize any floorplan. Seems too good to be true How is their quality? How do they compare to other builders?

Thanks in Advance!

Gareee, that's cool - I didn't know they were in Rockledge too. Did you buy it directly from Ameritrend? If so, were you happy with the building process? Did they deliver on time? Did you have them customize the floorplan?

Run - Thanks for the message I checked out the site but I think we're looking for something a little larger. Plus with dogs & kids, I'm sure we'd become the least popular residents in a hurry LOL.

Thanks for both posts! Looking forward to hearing more replies.

Daisy, We bought this house last year from a seller. The house was built in 2005. 4 beds,3 baths, attached 2 car garage. Stucco covered block with poured concrete inside the block. Good for very high winds. Patio is fully screened(bird's cage type). 4 sliding glass doors lead to the patio. Cathedral ceilings. Kitchen has bar which is opened to the dining living area. Has regular shingled roof. We are going to move into it as soon as we can unload this home in NY. Ameritrend has an interesting Web Site.

OH YEAH...I went there....I'll post back later today ...I'm on my way out......Liked the homes, distrust the future and the neighborhoods in a nutshell. But I only went to the ones in Vero Beach.

I have an Ameritrend Home and all I can say is...........RUN as fast as you can. We have had nothing but problems since the day I bought the house. They will not return your calls once you have closed on the house. The quality of work sucks!!! The subs they used suck as they would work in the night with flashlights...how is that for quality. The outside walls didn't have enought nails to hold the stucco and they is falling off along with the whole subdivision having the same problem. Check our your builder very carefully before buying any home is the only advise I can give to new home prospects.

Default Ameritrend "Quality"

Just bought an Ameritrend Home in Vero (April 2010). Have to agree with above post. From what I can tell (unfortunately, too late), they scraped the bottom of the barrel when hiring contractors - particularly in the plumbing department - and apparently no inspection was done during the construction process. Or, worse, inspections were performed and faulty installations were ignored.
