I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself and say Happy 4th of July!

I'm in Florida now and considering moving so it's always good to be reminded that the grass is always greener!

My daughter and I spent an idyllic day with friends. They live on a large pond, while the sun was still up, I used binoculars to watch the wildlife, some birds with names I didn't know, Sand Hill Cranes and even an alligator that was swimming back and forth.

We ate barbeque and blew off fireworks over the pond. It was a great time. Once again I was struck by how much I love living here.

I hope everyone else had a great day.

I've lived in Southern Cali and Sacramento and all I have to say is you're wrong. I'd never go back to Cali.....If you put a gun to my head and said choose an area maybe I'd go to San Diego but I'd soon miss the warm waters of the gulf.

I hope everybody had a safe holiday!
