The New Port Richey area is crowded and more homes are being built.
The Clearwater area is not that far from there but also crowded. I believe the homes are affordable if you shop around.

Yea i wasn't to impressed by New Port Richey god forbid my best friend should ever find out I said this lol. But I did like Clearwater even though that I agree is crowded. How about Holiday I don't know much about that area. Im willing to drive at least an hr to get to New port richey or even Clearwater on the weekends to see my friends. I realize things are more expensive down there then up here but i think its worth it for little slice of paradise lol

Holiday has alot of old retirees.
We are in Charlotte County and it takes about 2 hours to get to my husband's uncle in the New Port Richie area. When we get back home we take a deep breath because it is less crowded down here then up there.

I saw the picture you posted in a previous post that is a beautiful beach. How about the schools in your area. I have a son thats 3 and in preschool up here. He also recieves speech therapy and Occupational therapy for his fine motor skills. Its an early intervention program to prevent him from falling behind when he starts Kindergarten.

The schools in my area all received A's on their report cards. The surrounding areas didn't do that well and the home prices are more expensive in the other counties- Lee, Collier, Sarasota and north of there.
Deep Creek Elementary is the best elemetary school in the area.

Money Mag just came out with their top 100 list, see if your city made it. I noticed Punta Gorda wasn't on it, why?

I guess they have to give other areas a chance too LOL
Maybe because of the hurricane in 04. Bet in the next few years we will top the list! Things are getting done in leaps and bounds in the town.
New buildings and restaurants popping up all around the area.

Excellent! I actually was just kidding bamboosmom about Punta Gorda not being on the list...Wasn't meant to be for you really, but if you found it helpful, that's good too.

Default I know Punta Gorda is great!

All somebody has to do is call a realtor or come on down to see how nice it is here
