Yes, I'm at Tyndall and just arrived. I've been through here before for training in the past and it reminds me a lot of the Tidewater area in Virginia before it got out of hand. I love being near the water so this place is perfect and the people are A LOT friendlier. I'm having to get adjusted to that. We're both at the end of our careers and moving is stressful so we decided then we'll call this place home! There really isn't any other place I'd rather be besides VA or back in Germany, Italy, Greece, etc but the cost of living is so high overseas. The area here suits our lifestyle perfectly...close enough to the action but just far enough away from it all too and plenty of water!

The other place is a secret. It's in the same region but I don't want anyone else scooping it up before we do. We'll be making an offer on it today or Monday.
Thanks for the info too!
We can completely understand about the quiet ... that's why we live on the west end of the 30A ... and we love all the water that surrounds us too ... have you been over this way yet? The coastal dune lakes are spectacular.

You are a little cliffhanger with your "secret" place We hope it works out perfectly for you today or Monday!

LOL! It would just be my luck and list it and some one snatches it up! Your comp has the original house on their we were pursuing too. I hope the offer is accepted but we won't know until we place it.

I haven't been out that way yet but plan to today later this afternoon.

Big House, I wasn't a ROICC officer there. Would've been nice to have been one though.

Oh well...their counter was a 1% reduction. LOL! I've been through this before. These folks around here are on some good kool aid. I'll see how long this one stays on the market and come back in 120 days. I just want FMV and they look at it as a lowball. This isn't 2004!

Wow, this really surprises us! Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you but there are plenty of options available in this market ... we are certain you will find someone who needs to sell. Now that we are thinking about it, maybe it has something to do with the area you are looking in and its proximity to the new airport that's being built. Plus, if it is the house we are thinking you are talking about, it could be because it just went on the market at the end of June. Had they been waiting for years like many sellers, they may have been more motivated. If it's the same home, from what we can see, they paid $369,000 in 2006 and probably paid too much, so that's probably factoring into their decision as well.

Hey, did you make it over our way to the 30A over the weekend?
If so, what did you think?

I didn't get to make it your way today as we had a meeting at the end of the day. As far as Sat--we never finished what we had t do.

Actually the property is a new house and not a resale. It's only been on the market a month at best. It's by Kirkland Manor so it's still 20 mins away from the airport so I wouldn't consider that close proximity.

I'll be in Pensacola this weekend so I don't see why I can't make a brief visit.
