Because I never lived in big cities like Orlando or Tampa/St. Petersburg. Nor did I ever live in really bad areas of town. Nor did I do what I propose to do when I get to Florida...live in my truck. Nor did I have enough money to buy a gun or Taser back then...now I do. I never lived in the inner city until I came to Canada and if they bother me here they will certainly bother me down there I figure.

Also I never investigated or knew much of anything about gun laws in Florida when I lived there.

Let's see...I think that's mostly why I asked.

I think you gots a good point there Nomadicus (cool name!). Never mind about carrying a gun six-shooter style. I just, naively perhaps, though the sight of a gun would intimidate most punks away from me. I never thought about them thinking to themselves that "thar's anoter gun ya all!".

I was told I could probably put some one in the hospital if I kicked them. I'm 5'3, 115 pounds, and I can push 300 pounds on the leg machine at the gym. One kick in their midsection and they're done with

Anyway, by the time I actually get the pepper spray out of my bag, I'm a goner. Might as well use my first reaction and kick them as hard as I can.

Im sure you have strong legs for a little lady, but, 2 determined guys with knives that know how to use them or 3 guys without knives , both trump your strong leg muscles . And you dont keep Pepper Gas in your bag ... you keep it hidden in the palm of your hand when walking , especially at night. The current statistic is 1 in 4 women will be sexually assaulted sometime in thier life ; dont be a statistic due to thinking it would never happen to you (and a pair of strong legs will get you out of any trouble).
