BABYTOES is on a distinguished road
Default Buy in Palm Bay? Or look to Malabar? Confused Momma!

Hi all. We are in Gainesville, relocating to the Melbourne area. Where we live, our home would sell for only about 150k, yet we are in a safe, working class neighborhood. (We are in one of those good "pockets.") Yet it seems that homes in the 130k range in Palm Bay come with a "Buyer Beware" when I look at opinions. Somebody mentioned Malabar as rural. Any input? We are a one-income, 3 kid family. Looking for affordable, but still safe. My husband and I are both college educated, but taking a mass pay cut so I can be home with the kids. All opinions are welcome!

i personally would not consider palm bay when there are so many better options nearby. you have viera to the north and indian river county to the south.

Malabar is still rural, Palm Bay tried to annex them but Malabar fought 'em off. (Thank goodness)
Palm Bay is no where near as nice as Malabar which is why they tried to take it. (viral urban sprawl)
I agree that Satellite Beach is very nice, friendly people with a small town atmosphere. Viera's big and clean. The comment comparing Port St. John & Titusville was accurate.
