Try Via Tuscany apartment homes, also go to BrevardMLS.com click on rentals in Viera. There are a ton of rental homes available with screened porches. Suntree is very close to Viera and has trees. There are about 7 golf courses within 5 miles there.

viera is a nice newer area north of melbourne. you can also find rental home listings in the local newspapers, floridatoday.com and tcpalm.com.

my brother used to live at via tuscany and liked it there. i live in sebastian, which is really nice, but a little quiet. viera has a little more to do than sebastian and has some newer housing.

I live in Viera!!!!...it is a very new, small town in Melbourne, FL, but growing fast! The plans for growth are wonderful and very well planned! Low crime rate, if any at all. You can buy a beautiful home for a great deal...especially right now! It is close to the beaches (15 min) or a short drive to shopping and attractions in Orlando (about a 45 min drive). We just recently moved here from Miami (a BIG change) and are very, VERY happy. We worked with a realtor that was wonderful! You could always contact her for help...her name is Lori Nartatez and she works with Viera Realty (321-536-5734). Her company is owned by the actual owners/developers of Viera so she is an expert on knowing the best homes/townhomes/condos etc...to buy in Viera. She is very good at working with out-of-towners, like we were, and accommodated our schedule perfectly. Good luck to you!

A truly wonderful (non-cookie cutter) neighborhood that is growing near Viera is Tralee Bay Estates in the Capron Ridge Subdivision. A gated community with Beautiful Tuscan-style or Island-style homes from a semi-custom builder (JerJef) are really beautiful! There are other builders in that subdivision, too, which helps it to become more individualized and less "cookie cutter". In my opinion, JerJef is the best! My husband and i just bought in that area and moved from Miami, FL. YES, VIERA is cool place, I love it, is a new city in Central Florida, I visited the Mall and the Super targe is huge, luxury one all carpeted, Viera is near North Melbourne, I visited Melbourne sister house, and I drove to Viera, expensive houses, and wonderful cool place near Orlando and the Coast.
