I was checking my porch thermometer and matching it to weather.com all week before Fay, and I basically felt and got a dry heat. Unfortunately, I don't have a historical link to prove anything that I personally observed, but nice link nonetheless.

To everyone else- yes, it's hot in Florida. It's cold up north too and yes it's even more expensive in California and polluted in many (not all) areas to boot. And yes, it's hot in North Carolina too. The air conditioner wasn't invented chiefly for Florida, there is no such thing as a perfect climate.

The midwest has been absolutely gorgeous this summer! Temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s most days. Low humidity and very few mosquitos. I am looking forward to a beautiful fall. Winter does not bother me. I have an AWD car and a service to plow my driveway and sidewalks. Come on up those of you who had enough of it down there.

Well I was sick of it in April, but even in April you enjoy every cold front that makes it here, because you KNOW what is in store for the next 6-7 months... Now I'm not letting it bother me, I have 3 weeks left here before I leave FL, no reason to rant. I will accept the humidity and heat, because I will be freezing in February, and right about now, freezing sounds great!!! It starts cooling off more in NE Florida. I remember in Melbourne around the beginning of Oct. Down here in SW Florida, forget it until November...

I love the Florida summer, I get the chance to change shirts three or four times every day. but seriously...
The beach weather is wonderful. Walking the beach to Sharkys for bloody Mary this past Sunday was way beyond excellent.
When you walk outside and your dripping wet in minutes - it's tarpon season - I'm addicted.
Hanging out around the pool after work is delightful.
Some of my favorite orchids are preparing to bloom in September.
My windows will be opened in mid-October.
Southwest Florida weather isn't for everyone, but it fits me to a t.

At least it doesn't get cold as hell by the middle of November like here in Minnesota!

Have to agree there. It never gets as cold in Massachusetts as it does in MN, SD, or ND, MT......... OH ya... MI, AND WI too... It's like an arctic tundra there.

If you're going to live in FL you should be trim, in shape, eat right, get plenty of excerise. It's not that bad in the summer if you're healthy.
